The Member Services Supervisor under the guidance of the manager is responsible for the internal operation of the branch including quality member service, sales effectiveness, internal controls, and security.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Exhibits leadership skills, including the ability to manage the branch in the absence of a manager for both short and long-term assignments as needed
  • Promotes and maintains member service by ensuring all branch employees meet Quality Member Service and Mystery Shop goals
  • Assists the manager with the overall responsibility of establishing branch and individual goals through needs-based cross selling of the Credit Union’s products and services.
  • Advises, coaches, trains and assists branch employees, as necessary.
  • Is responsible for all aspects of security in accordance with Credit Union’s security policy

Skills and Experience include the following:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, (business courses preferred), college level courses, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum five years experience with a financial institution with specialized training in all facets of operations, new accounts and loans is preferred
  • Two years previous supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members/customers, and the general public.

These positions provide quality member service by telephone and in person by processing member requests for research and transaction processing accurately and efficiently throughout our 11 branch locations and our contact center.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Facilitate the opening of new member accounts including savings, checking, certificates of deposit, IRAs and other new deposit products as they are made available by the Credit Union
  • Handle member transactions such as processing savings and checking deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, and accepting IRA contributions
  • Consumer loan processing (including equity products) includes interviewing the applicant, processing loan applications, communicating credit approval or denial, DMV paperwork and loan funding
  • Remain up to date on regulatory and security requirements and be prepared to answer service and rate inquiries about our products
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures and make decisions in accordance with set guidelines
  • Conduct each member or employee interaction in a manner to meet our Core Values
  • Promote the Credit Union by appropriately cross-selling products and services to meet established monthly sales goals

Required Skills/Experience includes:

  • Minimum of two years of experience with a financial institution with specialized training in loans and new accounts is required

  • Ability to speak frankly yet empathetically regarding disapproved loans

Fraud Investigator

Schools is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Fraud Investigator position at our headquarters (1485 Response Road). The Fraud Investigator investigates such activities as forgery, altered checks, overdrafts, new account schemes, unauthorized ATM withdrawals, fraudulent usage of credit and debit cards, suspected employee embezzlement, operational errors, and other fraudulent activities.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Files necessary criminal referral forms with required law enforcement and regulatory agencies
  • Acts as a liaison with Federal, State, and local law enforcement and private security firms to exchange information and elicit assistance as required
  • Conducts employee-training meetings in fraud prevention and security issues.
  • Assists in special audits periodically
  • Participates in monthly and quarterly Supervisory Committee meetings, which include presentations of various reports
  • Open and/or investigate cases and document accordingly while insuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Acts policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for conducting annual crime statistics review for all credit branch and ATM locations

Required Skills and Experience include the following:

  • Minimum two years experience working in a financial institution with knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures required
  • Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including some evenings as well as weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
