Schools is seeking qualified candidates for Member Service Representatives in our branches throughout the Sacramento area. The Member Service Representative provides responsive, accurate, and professional service to members visiting our branches.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide quality member service by processing member transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Complete checking, savings and loan transactions in an accurate and expedient manner
  • Provide assistance to members regarding questions or problems with accounts or services
  • Promote the Credit Union by appropriately cross-selling products and services to meet established monthly sales goals
  • Research and make adjustments to member accounts as necessary
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Conduct each member interaction in a manner to meet our Core Values

Skills and Experience include the following:

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or relevant work experience

  • Excellent listening skills, math aptitude, and verbal communications skills are needed

Schools is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a 40 hr/wk Business Analyst position at our Headquarters Location (1485 Response Rd). Under direction of the VP of Planning & Corporate Development, the position manages cross-functional projects and conducts analysis/research to support the Credit Union's strategic plan and long-term objectives set by the Board of Directors.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Identifying improvement opportunities within our Credit Union processes
  • Continuous improvement of business processes, while maintaining and/or improving member service and reducing the overall cost of doing business
  • Using process/management techniques
  • Analyze current work flow/procedures, identify inefficiencies, research potential solutions, evaluate the solutions, and present proposals for process improvement to the responsible management
  • Interacting successfully with all levels in the organization, gain commitment and support for the proposed changes, where possible, and drive efforts for continuous improvement
  • Use various software programs, creates database solutions for Credit Union Departments, and creates business plans and maps for submission to Board of Directors
  • Conducts various types of data research and analyses, including, alternative business applications, cost/benefit, feasibility, impact, workflow processes. Also conducts statistical analysis and participates in the development of business models, trend analysis and projections.
  • Defines the overall project strategy. Identifies and documents business requirements; estimates tasks and timelines; and develops project plans. Forecasts resource and budget requirements and analyzes projected benefits relative to costs

Skills and Experience include the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area is desired
  • Two plus years of process and project management experience require, ideally within a financial institution
  • Prior experience in financial analysis including, cost benefit, feasibility studies, organization impact, budgeting and workflow processes
  • Prior experience in statistical analysis and the development of business models, trending and projections
  • Knowledge of lending, operations, member service, financial products, and support service functions desired
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint is required
  • Knowledge of Maptitude and Touche Analyzer is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments

Schools is currently seeking a talented and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to serve the Yuba City/Marysville community to develop, establish and maintain a network of business relationships that will meet established loan quality and production goals. Qualified candidates must live in the Yuba City/Marysville area and be involved in the local community. This position will proactively identify, contact, meet with, interview, advise, and educate potential borrowers from the Yuba City/Marysville community for the purpose of originating first mortgages according to Schools guidelines and standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Generating and pursuing leads and referrals for potential mortgage applicants in a timely manner
  • Continually developing and maintaining a network of relationships with realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts that will serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities
  • Establishing new memberships for potential real estate loan applicants
  • Obtaining and reviewing documentation required from the applicant for accuracy and completeness, and submitting it to department staff for processing.
  • Calculating preliminary income and debt ratios and entering the application into the loan operating system
  • Ensuring regular contact with borrowers and staff to insure quality of service during the processing of the loan

Successful candidates will satisfy the following requirements, qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum two years experience in a mortgage lending sales position
  • Current knowledge of Fannie Mae underwriting requirements
  • Current knowledge of regulatory and disclosure requirements for real estate lending
  • Registry with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to perform effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to provide excellent member service while confidently communicating information to the borrower
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current knowledge of a variety of mortgage programs
  • A mortgage professional who is established in the Yuba City/Marysville community
