Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Collecting on all past due loans, Visa's and negative share accounts to the point of charge off
  • Handle accounts involved in all chapters of bankruptcy and handles repossession on all collateral loans
  • Collects on real estate loans, orders appraisals and prepares recommendations for profit and loss
  • Counsels delinquent members and suggests alternative and appropriate methods of bringing accounts up to date

Required Skills and Experience include the following:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. College degree in Business or equivalent experience is preferred.

Using process/management techniques, the incumbent will analyze current work flow/procedures, identify inefficiencies, research potential solutions, evaluate the solutions, and present proposals for process improvement to the responsible management. This position must interact successfully with all levels in the organization, gain commitment and support for the proposed changes, where possible, and drive efforts for continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writes and implements new processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and streamline the work flow within the Member Services Division.
  • Defines overall project strategies. Identifies and documents business requirements; estimates tasks and timelines; and develops project plans. Forecasts resource and budget requirements and analyzes projected benefits relative to costs.
  • Initiates and directs activities associated with projects. Tracks project progress and results against plan, and manages resource allocations. Assigns and monitors tasks and responsibilities.
  • Creates and delivers presentations on project goals, plans and progress. Interacts with other departments and/or external sources to gather data and accomplish objectives. Schedules and facilitates meetings.
  • Researches new methods, program enhancements and services to determine cost effectiveness and makes recommendations to Manager as needed.
  • Conducts internal/external research while interacting with internal and external sources to gather data and accomplish objectives. Performs problem solving, makes recommendations for solutions and presents findings.
  • Creates and supplies on an on-going basis; reports for the different areas of Member Service. Analyzes said reports for areas of opportunity, potential efficiency improvements and cost-savings tactics.

Skills and Experience include the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred (two years of Business Analyst-related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Two years of experience with a financial institution preferred with an emphasis in various types of analysis including financial, cost benefit, data, feasibility, impact, technical, and workflow/processes
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Advanced experience with Excel intermediate-level knowledge of Word required. Knowledge of credit union/banking industry with an emphasis on back office operations preferred

The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all internal audit activities for Schools Financial Credit Union. The internal audit department provides objective and professional evaluations of the Credit Union operations and assists management in accomplishing the Credit Union goals and objectives.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Consulting with SVP/CFO, document risk and mitigating controls through risk control matrices, including evaluating control design and adequacy to ensure key risks are properly controlled and monitored, as well as ensuring proper rationalization of controls.
  • Assist in the identification and assessment of organizational risks and make recommendations as appropriate to reduce or eliminate such risk. Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify and improve processes to drive balanced risk management.
  • Develop and implement a flexible annual audit plan using appropriate risk-based methodology, including any risks or control concerns identified by Management and Supervisory Committee.
  • Analyze the Credit Unions financial, operational, management processes, system control effectiveness and efficiency in view to improve them and propose value-added recommendations. Document main control points and provide evidential support for report recommendation.
  • Coordinate with and provide oversight of other control and monitoring functions (e.g. risk management, compliance, security, legal, ethics, environmental, and external audit).
  • Evaluate the adequacy of system design, risk management, and internal control framework in meeting business, operational, and control objectives.
  • Assist in the investigation of significant suspected fraudulent activities, monitor and review employee accounts within the Credit Union and notify Management and the Supervisory Committee of the results.
  • Maintain complete files documenting audit procedures used, all completed audit reports, and written responses to such reports. Prepares and delivers reports, both written and oral, to management, the Supervisory Committee and Board of Directors.

Skills and Experience include the following:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank or credit union structures, enterprise risk management, internal controls, processes, procedures, products and services.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in internal audit in the credit union or banking industry required.
  • Two or more years of audit management experience preferred.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Proficiency in GAAP, in-depth knowledge of internal audit standards, procedures and techniques required for performing engagements and best practices.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) professional certification required, or must pass the CIA exam within the first year of hire. Additional certifications (Certified Public Accountant, Certified Bank Auditor, or Certified Financial Services Auditor preferred.)
