The representative provides quality member service to members who access the Member Contact Center by telephone, fax or mail. They assist the Member Contact Center Supervisor and Manager with escalated calls and activities involving account research, corrections, and phone servicing for members. Demonstrates the ability to complete more complex transactions that require an elevated degree of skills and expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists manager/supervisor in directing operational processing tasks such as member servicing by telephone, member correspondence, and corrections to member accounts. Assists manager/supervisor in ensuring employee performance and all work generated by the department is of high quality on a daily basis.
  • Promotes Credit Union by appropriately cross-selling products and services to members and potential members. Opens accounts and completes telephone loan applications, when necessary, as permitted by Credit Union guidelines. Consistently meets the requirements of our Mystery Shop Program while promoting the Credit Union and providing quality member service.
  • Assists supervisor with monitoring the Cisco system to ensure maximum telephone coverage, the Call Monitoring process (recording, scoring and feedback), employee training, and motivating employees in sales skills to meet established Credit Union goals.
  • Advises employees with member questions/problems. Takes escalated member calls and refers to the manager/supervisor any situations that cannot be resolved by the employee.
  • Keeps the manager/supervisor aware of relevant activities within the department during their absence. Serves as backup supervisor in the absence of the manager/supervisor, as needed.
  • Compiles various Cisco and Member Contact Center reports that track call volume, wait times, transfer percentages, etc., for all areas that are used for Board reporting and monitor employee performance.
  • In the manager’s and supervisor's absence, is responsible for coordination of Contact Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Credit Union's policies and applicable laws.

Skills and Experience include the following:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), business courses preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years experience with a financial institution with specialized training in operations, account services and loan origination required.

This position provides quality member service by telephone and in person by processing member requests for research and transaction processing accurately and efficiently throughout our 11 branch locations and our contact center.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Facilitate the opening of new member accounts including savings, checking, certificates of deposit, IRAs and other new deposit products as they are made available by the Credit Union
  • Handle member transactions such as processing savings and checking deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, and accepting IRA contributions
  • Consumer loan processing (including equity products) includes interviewing the applicant, processing loan applications, communicating credit approval or denial, DMV paperwork and loan funding
  • Remain up to date on regulatory and security requirements and be prepared to answer service and rate inquiries about our products
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures and make decisions in accordance with set guidelines
  • Conduct each member or employee interaction in a manner to meet our Core Values
  • Promote the Credit Union by appropriately cross-selling products and services to meet established monthly sales goals
  • Research and make adjustments to member accounts as necessary

Required Skills/Experience includes:

  • Minimum of two years of experience with a financial institution with specialized training in loans and new accounts is required
  • Qualified candidates must promote and maintain quality member service as well as be team oriented and enjoy working in a challenging environment
  • Ability to create a favorable rapport with members

  • Responsible for loan pipeline and pricing desk. Handle the daily pricing and rate lock process. Monitor pipeline behavior vs. assumptions. Analyze fallout and other pipeline related considerations. Monitor timely loan sale transactions from trade date to settlement. Complete detailed analysis of loan sales results
  • Evaluate the cost/benefit of migrating to a hedged pipeline (versus best effort)
  • Continually analyze and develop profitability model for all portfolio products, including new offerings
