Information about the Conversion

One of Schools Financial Credit Union's trusted vendors has recently performed a system update that affects Quicken access to your Schools Financial accounts. You will need to modify your Quicken settings to ensure the smooth transition of your data.

NOTE: To complete these instructions, you will need your account number and password for SchoolsOnline.

  • It is important to perform the following instructions exactly as described and in the order presented.
  • If the following steps are not completed exactly as listed, your service may stop functioning properly.
  • This process will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
 

Step 1: Conversion Preparation - Backup Your Data File.

  1. Backup your data file. For instructions to back up your data file,choose Help menu >Quicken Help. Search for Backup Data File and follow the instructions.
  2. Download the latest Quicken Update. For instructions to download an update, choose Help menu > Quicken Help. Search for Update Software and follow the instructions.
 

Step 2: Disconnect your accounts at Schools Financial Credit Union.

  1. Choose Tools menu > Account List.
  2. Click the Edit button of the account you intend to deactivate.
  3. In the Account Details dialog, click on the Online Services tab.
  4. If the pop up message appears: "You are about to delete set up information for an online account. To cancel the service, you must call your financial institution." Select OK. There is no need to contact Schools Financial. See example below:
     you are about to delete setup information for an online account. To cancel this service, you must call your financial institution. Click OK or Cancel.
  5. Once successfully deactivated, you should see the "Set Up Now" button.
  6. Click on the General tab.
  7. Remove the Schools Financial information within the financial information and account number sections, so they are blank. Example:
    Financial institution and account number
  8. Click Deactivate Services.
  9. Click on Deactivate or Deactivate Online Payment (only available if you use BillPay services). Follow the prompts to confirm the deactivation.
  10. Repeat the above steps for each account you are disconnecting.
 

Step 3: Reconnect your accounts to Schools Financial CU - New

  1. Choose Tools menu > Account List.
  2. Click the Edit button of the account you intend to activate.
  3. Use Advanced Setup to activate your account.
  4. Enter Schools Financial CU New in the search field, select the name in the list and click Next.
  5. If presented with the Select Connection Method screen, select Direct Connect.
  6. Type your Direct Connect User ID and Password and click Connect.
  7. Ensure you associate the account to the appropriate account already listed in Quicken. You will want to select Link to an existing account and select the matching accounts in the drop-down menu.
  8. Do NOT choose Add to Quicken unless you want to add a new account to Quicken. If you are presented with accounts you do not want to track in this data file, choose Ignore Don't Download into Quicken.
    • After all accounts have been matched, click Next. You will receive confirmation that your accounts have been added.
    • Click Done or Finish.

One of Schools Financial Credit Union's trusted vendors has recently performed system updates that affect Quicken access to your Schools Financial accounts. You will need to modify your Quicken settings to ensure smooth the transition of your data.

NOTE: To complete these instructions, you will need your account number and password for SchoolsOnline.

  • It is important to perform the following instructions exactly as described and in the order presented.
  • If the following steps are not completed exactly as listed, your service may stop functioning properly.
  • This process will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
 

Step 1: Conversion Preparation - Back Up Your Data File.

  1. Backup your data file. For instructions to back up your data file, choose Help menu > Quicken Help. Search for Backing Up, select Backing up data files and follow the instructions.
  2. Download the latest Quicken Update. For instructions to download an update, choose the Help menu > Search. Search for Updates, then select Check for Updates , and follow the instructions.
 

Step 2: Disconnect your accounts at Schools Financial Credit Union.

  1. Select your account under the Accounts list on the left side.
  2. Choose Accounts menu > Settings.
  3. Select Troubleshooting > Deactivate Downloads.
  4. Repeat the above steps for each account to be disconnected.
 

Step 3: Reconnect your accounts to Schools Financial CU - New

NOTE: Select Direct Connect for the Connection Type if prompted.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT select ADD under the action column unless you intend to add a new account to Quicken.

  1. Select your account under the Accounts list on the left side.
  2. Choose Accounts menu > Settings.
  3. Select Set up transaction download.
  4. Click the link below "? My bank is not in the list."
  5. Click Update List
  6. Click Exit Set Up
  7. Now you must choose the new account under the Accounts menu.
  8. Enter Schools Financial CU New in the Search field, select the institution name in the Results list and click Continue.
  9. Enter your Direct Connect User Id and Password and click Continue.
  10. If the bank requires extra information, enter it to continue.
  11. In the Accounts Found screen, associate each new account to the appropriate account already listed in Quicken. Under the Action column, select Link to pick your existing account.
    • Select Finish.

QuickBooks Online Edition Conversion Instructions

QuickBooks Online Edition (Simple Start, Essentials & Plus)

Information about the Conversion

One of Schools Financial Credit Union's trusted vendors has recently performed a system update that affects Quicken access to your Schools Financial accounts. You will need to modify your QuickBooks Online Edition settings to ensure the smooth transition of your data.

QuickBooks Online data is stored on Intuit servers in the cloud. Since they update your records with every change, they cannot restore your files to a previous point in time.

QuickBooks Online automatically updates your selected version so you are always on the latest release.

To complete these instructions, you will need your account number and password for SchoolsOnline.

  • It is important to perform the following instructions exactly as described and in the order presented.
  • If the following steps are not completed exactly as listed, your service may stop functioning properly.
  • This process will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

Step 1: Connect to Schools Financial Credit Union for a to back up your data.

NOTE: If you need a shorter date range, click Want a shorter time period? at the top and choose between 0, 7, or 30 days.

  1. Select Banking on left column.
  2. In the upper right corner, click Add Account.
  3. Enter Schools Financial Credit Union and press enter.
  4. Click the link for Schools Financial Credit Union.
  5. Type your account number and password and click Sign In.
  6. If the bank requires extra information, enter it to continue.
  7. Choose an account type for each account you are connecting.
  8. Click Connect to download up to 90 days of transactions.
    • After your download finishes, click the For Review tab to see what was downloaded.
 

Step 2: Match Downloaded Transactions

  1. If new transactions were received from your connection, accept all new transactions on the Banking page. Simply check off all the New/Matched transactions and click Batch Action to Accept Selected.
  2. If you need assistance matching transactions, select the ? icon at the top right and search for Matching Transactions and follow the instructions.
 

Step 3: Disconnect accounts to Schools Financial Credit Union.

  1. Select Banking on the left column.
  2. Click the account you'd like to disconnect, then click on the Pencil Icon
  3. Click on Edit Account Info.
  4. Check the box next to Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat steps 2 - 6 for each account at Schools Financial Credit Union.
 

Step 4: Re-activate Your Account(s) at Schools Online CU - New.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT select +Add New if you are presented with accounts you do not want to track in this data file. Uncheck the box next to the Account name.

  1. Select Banking on left column.
  2. In the upper right corner, click Add Account
  3. Enter Schools Financial CU - New and click enter.
  4. Type your User ID and Password. Click Sign In.
  5. Ensure you associate the account for Schools Financial Credit Union to the appropriate account already listed under QuickBooks Accounts. You will want to select the matching accounts in the drop-down menu.
    • After all accounts have been matched, click Connect.
    • When the download is finished click I'm done. Lets go!
 

Step 5: Excluding Duplicate Transactions

NOTE: If you accidentally exclude a transaction, you can include it again.

  1. Select Banking on left column.
  2. In the For Review section, click the checkboxes for the transactions you want to exclude.
  3. Click Batch Actions > Exclude Selected.

Step 6: Undo Excluded Transactions

  1. Select Banking on left column.
  2. Click the Excluded tab.
  3. Click the checkboxes for the transactions you want to include.
  4. Click Batch Actions > Undo.
  5. Transactions will appear again in the For Review tab for you to work with.

Mint Conversion Information

One of Schools Financial Credit Union's trusted vendors has recently performed a system update that affects Quicken access to your Schools Financial accounts. Review the instructions below to ensure your data has been automatically reconciled.

Mint Conversion Information

Mint.com data is stored on Intuit cloud servers. Data is updated with every change and cannot restore data to a previous point in time.

During the update, the Mint.com server automatically made the system conversion for your activated accounts. When you login, the accounts should be reconciled, showing your transaction history available.

In the event that your accounts do not display current transactions, you may log back into Mint.com, select the gear icon and click refresh to update your accounts. After the download completes, click the Transactions tab to view up to 90 days of transaction history.
