Access My Accounts With Quicken

Below are simple instructions for connecting your account to Quicken using Direct Connect.

When you launch the Quicken program, you are automatically directed to the Accounts.

How to Add a New Account

  1. From the Accounts screen, add a new account by selecting the "+" within the main menu.

  2. The Add Account screen will appear, where you can select the type of account you'd like to add.

  3. Next, enter "Schools Financial Credit Union" in the search field, and select "Schools Financial CU - New" and select "Next."

  4. Enter your Schools Financial username and password, then select "Connect."

    *If your sign in is unsuccessful, you will receive the following message.

    If this happens, be sure you are using the correct and most current sign in credentials for SchoolsOnline.

    Choose the Direct Connect option to try again, then select "Next."

  5. You will then see the following screen indicating Quicken is connecting to you accounts.

  6. The Accounts Added screen will appear. Choose the accounts you wish to add to Quicken.

    Then select "Add Another Account" or "Finish."

  7. After you have added your acounts, you will be redirected back to the Accounts page, where you can view your account activity.

Below are simple instructions for accessing your account with QuickBooks.

Sign In to QuickBooks

  1. To get started, if you have a Google account simply click "Signin with Google" or enter your email and password to sign in to your account.

  2. Next, enter the information for your business and select "Next."

  3. After you enter your business information, you'll then need to answer the following questions based on your business entity. Select "Next."

  4. Next, enter “Schools Financial Credit Union” in the search field. Select the Schools Financial logo from the results list.

  5. On the banking information page, enter the same username and password that you use to sign in to SchoolsOnline banking, online.schools.org.

    Select "Continue."

  6. Check the “I’m not a robot” box to continue.

  7. Once your username and password are entered, you will see the following screen indicating QuickBooks is attempting to connect to your account.

  8. Once your username and password are verified, you will be asked a security question.This security question and answer is the same question and answer in SchoolsOnline.

  9. You will then be asked which accounts you would like to connect. After you've made your selection, choose "Connect."

  10. Once you are successfully signed in, you will see your QuickBooks Dashboard, with your business information and linked accounts.

What If I Recieve an Error Message?

  • If you enter an incorrect username and password, the following screen will appear with the following error message.

    *Try again, using the same username and password that you use to sign in to SchoolsOnline.

  • Below is the error message you will receive if you try a second time and your username and password are still incorrect.

    *Be sure your using the same username and password that you use for SchoolsOnline. If you still experience issues, return to SchoolsOnline at online.schools.org to verify you are using to correct username and password.

Access My Accounts With Banktivity

Below are simple instructions for connecting your account to Banktivity, using Direct Access and Direct Download.

Direct Access - How to Add a New Account

  1. From the account summary screen, add a new account by selecting the "+" dropdown menu, or by choosing "Account" from the main menu, and choosing "Add Account" located on the account summary page.

  2. Select the type of account you want to add. To add your SchoolsOnline account(s), choose the option: “Account at a bank, credit union or other financial institution." Select "Next."

  3. Search for Schools Financial by entering “Schools Financial Credit Union” in the search field and select “Next."

  4. Select "Direct Access" to connect your Schools Financial account, and select "Next."

    *This connection requires a subscription with IGG software. See description below.

  5. Next, enter your SchoolsOnline credentials and select the “Sign In” button.

  6. You will see a screen indicating that Banktivity is searching and attempting to connect to details of your account.

  7. You will then see your security question populate. The answer to your security question is the same the one used in SchoolsOnline.

  8. You will then be asked a second security question. Also answer this question using the same answer as the one used in SchoolsOnline.

  9. Your accounts will then populate in a list, where you can choose the accounts you'd like to add.

  10. You can then view your newly added account on the account summary screen.

Direct Download - How to Add a New Account

  1. From the account summary screen, add a new account by selecting the "+" dropdown menu, or by choosing "Account" from the main menu, and choosing "Add Account" located on the account summary page.

  2. Select the type of account you want to add. To add your SchoolsOnline account(s), choose the option: “Account at a bank, credit union or other financial institution." Select "Next."

  3. Search for Schools Financial by entering “Schools Financial Credit Union” in the search field and select “Next."

  4. Select "Direct Download to connect your Schools Financial account, and allow for automatic account updates. select "Next."

    *No subscription with IGG software is required. See description below.

  5. Next, enter your SchoolsOnline username and password, then select the “Sign In” button.

    *Important: Enter your username in the field that says "Account #".

    *Important: Enter your username in the field that says "Account #".

  7. You can then view your newly added account on the account summary screen.

What If I Recieve An Error Message?

If you see any of the following error messages, please verify that you are using the same credentials used to sign in to SchoolsOnline.
