Connect your Schools Financial accounts to Quicken, QuickBooks or Banktivity and manage your finances all in one place.
By syncing your accounts to a personal finance manager, you can easily keep track of your budget and achieve your financial goals.
Ready to get started?
- You will need to be enrolled in SchoolsOnline Banking, and use your same credentials to sign in to your personal finance manager.
To set up or edit your credentials, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to SchoolsOnline, online.schools.org.
- Locate and select the "Settings" menu option in the main navigation.
- Next, select the "Personal Finance Manager" option.
- You will be directed to the Personal Finance Manager page, where you can enter your new credentials, or edit existing credentials.
- Be sure to select "Save" if you've made any changes.
- Now you're ready to sign in to your personal finance manager.

Below are simple instructions for connecting your account to Banktivity. See the steps below for connecting a new account or refreshin an account that has been connected in the past.
When Banktivity is launched from the desktop app, the account overview will appear.
If you see the icon with a “!” in the top left menu of the account overview, this means this may mean that you need to refresh yor banking information.
Click the icon to refresh your account information.
Refresh Account
After you have selected the "!" icon, select the “Refresh Account” button on the following screen.
You may be asked to verify your online banking credentials. Enter the same credentials you use to sign in to SchoolsOnline.
Your account will then be verified and the new data will populate in the account overview screen.
How to Add a New Account
Add a new account by selecting the "+" selection located in the dropdown menu in the left hand navigation, and select New Account.
Enter the type of account you want to add. To add your SchoolsOnline account(s), choose the option: “Account at a bank, credit union, or other financial institution”.
To search for Schools, enter “Schools Financial Credit Union” in the search field and select “Next".
Select How You Would Like to Connect
Choose to connect you account via Direct Access, Direct Download and Manual Download.
Read the description of each to decide what works best for you.
Next, enter your SchoolsOnline credentials and select the “Sign In” button.
If your sign in is unsuccessful, then you will receive the following message.
If this happens, be sure you are using the correct and most current sign in credentials that you use for SchoolsOnline.
You will be presented with account confirmation questions and once these are verified, you will see the following screen indicating that Banktivity it attempting to connect to details of your account.
Next, the newly added account will then appear on the Account list. Select "Add Selected Accounts". This will add your account and direct you back to the main accounts page.

Below are simple instructions for connecting and accessing your account with QuickBooks.
To get started, if you have a Google account simply click "Signin with Google" or enter your email and password to sign in to your account.
Next, enter the information for your business and select "Next".
After you enter your business information, you'll then need to answer the following questions based on your business entity. Select "Next."
Next, enter “Schools Financial Credit Union” in the search field. Select the Schools Financial logo from the results list.
On the banking information page, enter the same username and password that you use to sign in to SchoolsOnline banking, online.schools.org.
Select "Continue."
Check the “I’m not a robot” box to continue.
If you enter an incorrect username and password, you will receive this screen with the following error message.
Try again, using the same username and password to sign in to SchoolsOnline.
Once your username and password are entered, you will see the following screen indicating Quickbooks is attempting to connect to your account.
Below is the error message you will receive if you try a second time and your username and password are still incorrect.
Be sure your using the same username and password as SchoolsOnline.
Once your username and password is verified, you will be asked a security question.This security question and answer is the same question and answer in SchoolsOnline.
You will then be asked which accounts you would like to connect.After you've made your selection, choose "Connect."
Once you are successfully signed in, you will see your QuickBooks Dashboard, with your business information and linked accounts.

To get started, if you do not have a Quicken account, simply enter your information in the box and follow the directions to create your account.
To sign in, choose the "Sign In" button.
If you recieve the following error, you may be using outdated credentials or they were incorrectly typed in.
Try again using your most current credentials to sign in to SchoolsOnline banking.
Account Overview
In Quicken personal finance software, when you open the software on your computer, the main account page will populate.
You can then choose the accounts to view, located in the left account menu.
Edit or Delete an Account
To edit or delete an account, choose “tools” in the main menu, then choose “account list,” and select choose the “edit” button.
Edit account information on the Account Details screen. You can also delete an account by using the Delete Account button.
This account can be added back into Quicken if needed.
Add Account
To add an account, select the Add Account button.
Next, enter “Schools Financial Credit Union” in the search menu, and select it from the search results, and select “Next.”
Next, enter your SchoolsOnline credentials and select the “Connect” button.
If your sign in is unsuccessful, then you will receive the following message.

If the sign in is successful, you will be presented with account confirmation questions.
The newly added account will then appear on the Account list. Select "Done" to return to the main accounts page.
